Meece Middle School students in Mr. Dunn’s sixth grade science class have been learning about solutions, mixtures, and compounds.
Stephen Burrell, Nick Casada, Ella Corder, Jacob Cothron, John Debord, Collin Hartmann, Trae Harmon, Raegan Henderson, Calder Lawless and Madeleine Rogers were selected to participate in the 2014 Rogers Explorers Program.
Somerset Independent will conduct Centralized Registration on July 23, 2014 for all students that will be new to the the school district. District personnel think that this will be a more efficient process for parents.

The Somerset Board of Education has approved an amended calendar to complete the 2013-14 School Year.

6th Grade Immunization Requirements for 2014/2015
According to state regulations, Kentucky law requires all students entering the 6th grade to have a physical exam and a Tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis booster known as Tdap, Meningococcal, and Varicella Vaccine. This physical may be performed within one year before the student enters the 6th grade.
