Parent Survey for School Improvement

Parents of Somerset Independent School Students, each school is beginning the revision of the school improvement plan.  We are seeking input from parents about our schools.  Please complete a parent survey for each school that you have a student attending.  (We will be sending home paper notices to Hopkins and Meece.  You do not need to complete a paper and online survey; please only complete either the paper survey and return it to school, or complete this online survey.) The survey deadline is 10/25/2021.  Thank you for your input.

Somerset Covid-19 School Operations Plan

The Somerset Independent School Board met on October 14, 2021, to review the district’s Covid-19 School Operations Plan.

Masks will continue to be required for all students, employees and school visitors inside school buildings through October 29th.  Masks will be required on any school bus, as well.

On, or before October 29th, school district officials will evaluate the local conditions surrounding COVID-19 for the use of face masks inside school buildings. If local and school data continue to improve, masks will be strongly recommended (rather than required) starting November 1st   Any change in mask plans will be communicated by October 29, 2021.
