Picture day is coming! Jumpers will take their fall pictures on September 30, this includes underclassmen as well as senior pictures.

Students and staff enjoyed wearing their favorite college colors on Friday, August 31.

SHS delivers baskets to First Responders First Responders

Somerset High School students delivered gift baskets to First Responders on September 11.  Students wanted to recognize and thank all first responders for their hard work and dedication to the community. 

Pictured with the Somerset Pulaski County EMS are: Joe Crabtree, Captain Brandon Wood, Dustin Henry, Annie Girdler, EMT Mollie Taylor, Paramedic Robert Mounce, Paramedic Ernie Acton, Paramedic Alexander Shawen, EMT Robert Roeder, Trinity Lynn, and Anaya Wilson. 

Health Career Open House

Somerset Community College will be hosting a Health Career Open House for high school students and their parents on Thursday, September 19 from 5:30-7:30pm. This is an open house style event, so participants can come/go to fit their schedules. The event will include: lab tours, class and financial aid information, and future possibilities in everything from Nursing, to Radiology, to Physician’s Assistant. RSVP to melissa.lancaster@lpnt.net. Explorers can count 1.5 volunteer hours for the event.

Welcome to Somerset High School and the 2019-2020 school year. My name is Jeff Wesley and as a graduate of the class of 1999 I am honored to serve as the Principal of Somerset High School. Our school is one of the oldest, most storied, and successful high schools in the state of Kentucky. Established in 1888, we are the home of the Briar Jumpers.
